 This can be done in your school or college labs which use single LAN network in xp desktops .In this u can message with other computers by using your ms-dos .In this first u have to check the network connection to ur computer and some settings are needed first we to right click on MY COMPUTER icon and go to manage option and.......



      STEPS FOR THE WINDOWS XP OS

 1.First start the computer's Right Click on My computer
    then go to Manage option
2.then goto services & applications on the left bar and goto services
    then select messanger ,the double click on "Messenger"
3.A window is appears so take the option as automatically and Apply it
4.Then right click on it(Messenger) and click start option Some copying process takes place may take a while
5.After completion of process close all windows Now "Messenger" is activated
6.Now we are sending msg to other one Open the Run and then open cmd
7.A command used to send msg is :NET<space>SEND<space>(IP of other system)<space>msg then press enter to send
